Goals Accomplished

This week has been a very successful week for me. Each and every day I set out to be a better me than I was the day before. My mission this year is to be a better me, to grow and mature spiritually, physically, mentally, emotionally, and financially. I have learned and I am learning the best way to do this is to take one day at a time.

Spiritually I would like to draw closer to GOD. I want to be in a place spiritually where I can hear His voice. It is very important to me that I can hear Him and what he is calling me to do, where He is leading me to go. Mission work is also important to me, so I am looking forward to doing more, especially volunteering and working with an orphanage.

Physically my goal is loose at least 60-63 pounds! I am currently working out 3 days a week and hoping to add Saturday to my routine. Now the hard part is my eating habits. I like food, naw, I love food! And it is winter and I like to have ice cream only in the winter, its weird I know, I don't understand it, but I do. My comfort foods are pizza, french fries, Chinese, Mexican, Italian, hell, looks like everything is my comfort food! Yeah, this is why I have to get my food consumption and eating habits under control. One day at a time, I can do this.

Mentally and emotionally I just want to have clarity about my goals, my dreams, my career, my love life. I am doing good by setting realistic goals in regards to my dreams, and how I am going about to achieve them. I have also decided to date myself. Every Friday night is going to be my date night, I am going to spend time with myself doing different things, going to Starbucks, catching a movie, eating out, shopping, or just people watching. My hope in doing this is to get to know myself a little better, and if Mr. Right shows up, that is a plus.

Financially I am not broke, but I can do better as far as money management. I have school loans that I need to pay back, that I really don't want to pay back, but I know I need to pay back. June 2015 I will have paid my car off and it is my hope to put that extra money away for at least six months to a year and use that to pay off my school loans. This year I am taking the 52 week challenge, I am saving this money to take another trip to Punta Cana, hopefully, if not, somewhere else out of the country. And I have also decided to pay myself what I tithe each month, this is a big move, but it can be done, I just might not be able to shop for shoes or handbags every month, but I am willing to forgo some things to get where I want to be financially.

This week I set out to accomplish a few things and I did! I am so proud of myself! So here is what I did.

  1. I worked out three days this week, and I completed week one of C25K. This is a huge accomplishment because I always quite after day 1, week 1 of C25K.
  2. I posted to my blog at least three times this week. Unfortunately I did not get a chance to blog about Lupita Nyong'o red Ralph Lauren gown she wore to the Golden Globes, but I can now.She was on everybody's best dressed list, including mine! And her hair, naturals are proving all over the world that we are all different, we all have different textures of hair, and we can rock our hair in different styles. Lupita did the most on that red carpet, I am looking forward to many more best dressed lists for her.
  3. I tweeted, is that correct terminology? at least three times this week also. I have just started tweeting, so this is very new to me, but if I want my dreams to become a reality, I will quickly get the hang of it. You can following me on Twitter at SheSooooSassy.
  4. Every morning this week I have had oatmeal and a boiled egg for breakfast. I have at least two snacks a day, one being a fruit. I didn't make great choices for lunch or dinner, but I did get in vegetables and baked fish a couple of times this week. I am going to the store tomorrow to pick up some bananas, yogurt, almonds, and fish, so next week can be better.
So what goals did you all accomplish this week?

Have a Sassy Weekend!
